Microfilms can be borrowed from the Family History Library catalog and retained on-site for three months or indefinitely for a fee. The center makes microfilm readers available to view ordered films. Microfilm copies can now be ordered on-site at www.familysearch.org.

To order a copy of a microfilm to be sent to your local Family History Center, search the FamilySearch Catalog (see menu Search, Catalog). Select the film you want to see more details. You may see some symbols after the record entry. No symbols means there are no digital or microfilm copies of the documents; a camera means the microfilm has been digitized and can be searched online; and a microfilm reel means it is available to order (do not order if already digitized). Clicking on the microfilm icon will take you to the Online Film Ordering page. You must be registered (free) and be logged in when you do this search.

The hours of operation are Monday 10:00 am – 12:00 noon, Wednesday 9:00 am – 12:00 noon and 7:00 pm – 9:00 pm, and Saturday 9:00 am – 12:00 noon. You may find additional information and holiday schedules at the Hampstead Family History Center wiki.
